Lux Awards
This year the competition organized by the Spanish Professional Photographers’ Association received a record number of entries, with 1,023 works submitted. Gonzalo Puertas was undoubtedly the star of the evening, being honoured with four awards. The prize-giving ceremony brought together 800 people in the Conference Centre in Barcelona.

Sonimagfoto Scholarship
Tarragona-based Basque photographer Mikel Aristregi was the winner of the Sonimagfoto Scholarship which entitles him to follow the Postgraduate Diploma Course in Photojournalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, thanks to his report entitled “-40ºC/96º” on alcoholic tramps in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia.
Adobe Class
Four thousand people attended the conferences organized by Sonimagfoto in conjunction with Adobe. Attendees learned about the latest digital retouching and image processing techniques from top-level experts such as Arkaitz Olarra and Joan Roig.
